The milk filters used are a 150mm type available for an average herd size of 520 or 700 cows between changes. These have been set up in banks of two for larger herd sizes. They have been mounted for bottom loading and incorporate our unique cap and clamping system which makes them very user friendly. The two filter are 230mm x 1100mm. The primary milk cooling is done using an industrial type plate heat exchanger with average water to milk flow ratio of three to one. These coolers are very efficient and require no daily maintenance.
They utilise 50mm ports for both the milk and water with milk flow rates of 3000 to 10000 litres of milk per hour.
